Plant Clippings Targeted by SCCO Thieves 05-10-19 05:00 DC

If you sell or own valuable plants, you might want to take steps to protect them from thieves. Santa Cruz sheriff’s deputies report that camellia bushes in La Selva are among victims of plant-clipping thefts that have occurred in recent weeks.

In the case of camellias, the plants are slow-growing and valuable. Thieves sometimes just cut clippings from targeted plants. A bundle of three to five branches could be worth $5.50 or more.
