A random attacker in downtown Santa Cruz is arrested Thursday for felony battery. Police saw the suspect, Justin Schreiber, hanging out at locust and cedar streets. The victim was able to identify him as the man who attacked her,
the attack happened late last month when a woman was walking near the intersection of pacific avenue and birch lane and the attacker tapped her on the shoulder and smacked her in the face, calling her a derogatory name. The suspect was caught on security cam.
