The Soquel Creek Water Board has decided to enter into an initial 5-month “option to purchase” a nearly 2-acre parcel in the Live Oak area of Santa Cruz. Board members hope that will give them enough time to fully assess the property, and its ability to serve as the location for their proposed Pure Water Soquel plant. Due to concerns by some local community members, 2 joint-agency community meetings are now slated to be held May 18th and 30 in the Live Oak Grange on 17th Avenue.
