A 75-year-old man was severely injured Sunday morning in an accident that snarled Cinco De Mayo traffic in Watsonville yesterday.
The man was struck by a pickup truck. The area around West Beach Street and Rodriguez Street, where the accident occurred, was closed for several hours while police investigated the incident. Officers said The driver of the truck is cooperating with that investigation.
The area was reopened to traffic around 3:30 p.m.
