A suspected serial sex offender was arrested in Monterey on Friday. At about 2:30 p-m Police were dispatched to a report of a male propositioning a womannear Montecito Avenue and Dela Vina Avenue. The victim sought help from Good Samaritans. Officers located the suspect, 33 year old Dionte Batiste, sand arrested him for Solicitation for Sex. He was transported to the Monterey County Jail. The Monterey Police Department has had multiple recent contacts with Batiste over alleged sexual improprieties. Bail was set at 18,500 dollars.
