The Trump administration approved a plan to relax rules and safety regulations on off-shore oil drilling. It’s estimated the revisions to the rules will save the oil industry over a billion dollars in the next 10 years. In addition to the more lenient regulations, the Trump administration also seeks to expand off-shore drilling in the Arctic and parts of the Atlantic.
