Salinas police and fire officials are working together to crack down (once again) on illegal firework activity during the week including July 4th this year. While working on increasing the number of un-marked patrol cars throughout the city, and the posting of Zero Tolerance signs at major intersections, authorities are also looking at possibly rewarding people who report seeing others shooting off illegal fireworks. The reward would be given if the reported sighting leads to a legal action being taken.
