Watch for big changes at the boardwalk trestle.
Tuesday, Cushman contracting begins construction on the trestle trail project that will allow more room for bike riders and pedestrians to cross the San Lorenzo river… and go to and from the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
Construction workers will place two “span beams,” which will increase the walkway from 4-feet to 10-feet. The bridge has been closed since January and hopefully… if all goes according to plan, it will re-open by Memorial Day.
