Ever wonder if there’s somebody listening other than Alexa?
According to Amazon, there is.
In a report by Bloomberg News, Amazon-dot-com employs thousands of people world wide to record and listen.
The recordings are transcribed, annotated and then fed back into the software as part of an effort to eliminate gaps in Alexa’s understanding of human speech and help it better respond to commands.
Workers have signed non-disclosure agreements barring them to talk about what they hear but some admitted to hearing things like: off key singing in the shower to a sexual assault.
