The north coast rail trail is another step closer to reality. The regional coastal commission approved the final enviornmental impact report for one section of the trail.
The E-I -r deals specifically with the seven and a half section of trail running from Wilder Ranch State Park to Davenport.
Members of the Sierra Club spoke at the meeting yesterday about their concern on the impact of the project on the red legged tree frog and mature trees.
The final e-i-r needs a method to monitor and report mitigation before the project is approved. The next regional transportation commission meeting is April 4th in Watsonville.
