In state news… Californians lost over three million dollars on recycling cans and bottles because of so many recycling centers closing.
In the last five years, 40-percent of the state’s recycling centers have shut down… in l-a more than 100 centers are gone.
California’s recycling program is over 30-years old and some say it needs an overhaul.
