Peninsula cities are preparing for the age of the dockless electric scooter. The transportation agency for Monterey county is considering rules and regulations for electric bikes and scooters.
“lime” scooters are already on the CSUMB campus and have provided 60-thousand rides since last September. Some of the concerns include keeping pedestrian pathways clear and providing a bicycle and scooter infastructure, so riders don’t have to use sidewalks.
