The CHP is reporting a fatal accident that took place on Saturday. The accident took place on Highway 101 near Metcalf Road at about 2 a-m when a Dodge Charger became disabled, blocking the northbound lanes. The driver activated the hazard flashers while attempting to start the vehicle. A motorcyclist failed to see the disabled vehicle and crashed into it at a high rate of speed. The accident remains under investigation.
