A Southern California couple are ordered to pay thousands of dollars in fines for taking succulents from Garapata state park. Guanrong and Jose Luis Rivera pleaded “no contest” to charges they stole 600-plants from the park in may… but they entered their pleas last week. An astute witness saw the couple pilfering the plants and contacted the State Department of Fish and Game that eventually located the Rivera’s in Palmdale with lots of succulents in their driveway.Mrs. Rivera was identified as the mastermind of the plant theft and was ordered to pay 10-thousand dollars in fines and 10-thousand dollars to the department of fish and game…. That will go towards enforcement of succulent thieves.
