It took almost two decades but the man responsible for raping a disabled Santa Cruz woman if finally behind bars.
Because of her disability, the victim was unable to identify her attacker, who raped her 18-years ago somewhere in downtown Santa Cruz. Investigators say they were able to arrest 41-year-old David Saavedra thru a separate case in 20-16 in Fresno.
Saavedra is in the Santa Cruz county jail and he will be sentenced in March.
