A local legislator has been appointed to the California Air Resources Board. State Senator Bill Monning was recommended for the appointment because of his work with communities around the state that are significantly impacted by pollution of all varieties. The A.R.B. is responsible for coordinating and reviewing all efforts to effect air quality at all levels of the government.
Senator Monning fills the vacancy created by the departure of Senator Ricardo Lara who was elected to become California’s Insurance Commissioner.
