The Cal-Am application for its desalination project in Marina is set to be considered by Marina Planning Commissioners at their meeting February 14th. That’s despite the lawsuit the city filed, challenging the State Public Utilities Commission’s approval of the project. Based on the state’s Permit Streamlining Act, the Commission must come to a Formal Decision by March 12th. The city of Marina has asked the State Supreme Court to revisit the case because the C-P-U-C failed to act on the city’s re-hearing request within the required 60 days.
