A 41 year-old man, who started a gun battle with Monterey County Sheriff’s Deputies in 2017, has pleaded guilty to assaulting officers. Monterey County Sheriff’s Deputies had gone to an apartment complex to check on Andrew Lee Jones, after his family members reported he had weapons and was acting suicidal. Jones, who faces up to 26 years and 8 months in prison, is scheduled to be sentenced February 27th.
