With no new illnesses from the tainted Romaine lettuce in the last month, and none of that lettuce left in stores….that food poisoning outbreak is now officially declared “over”. Although no one died in the late 2018 E. coli outbreak, 62 people were sickened in 16 states and Canada. The same strain of e. Coli was found in a reservoir at a farm in Santa Barbara County. Romaine is now being harvested in the winter-growing areas of Arizona, Florida, Mexico, and The Imperial Valley Of California.
