In 2013, Napster co-founder and former Facebook president Sean Parker held a large wedding in an ecologically sensitive area of Big Sur without getting the required permits. He was fined more than $2 million. But Parker also agreed to build an educational tool for the California Coastal Commission.
Tomorrow, Parker’s new app – called YourCoast — will be introduced. The app shows more than 1,500 beach access points along the California coast.
The app shows paths to access hard-to-find beaches and tells about amenities that include parking, restrooms or fishing facilities.
