A new app, for both Apple iOS and Android, aims to make it easier to recycle in Monterey County. Called “What Goes Where,” the app provides information on what to do with and where to take both common and uncommon items for recycling. Enter your ZIP Code and the app provides information on how to recycle microwave ovens, mattresses, washing machines, paint cans, and other items.
Developed by Salinas Valley Recycles and Monterey Regional Waste Management, the app is available free in the Apple and Android app stores.
