A Salinas community is trying to lower traffic speeds in their neighborhood. Residents near Chaparral Street and Maryal Drive are searching for ways to get motorist to abide by the speed limit. A traffic survey shows that traffic typically moves at least 10 mph over the 25mph limit. This causes concerns for child safety in the area. Residents will be able to voice their concerns at a public meeting this Wednesday El Gabilian Elementary School at 6 p.m.
