Thirteen men were arrested Friday in a prostitution sting operation in Salinas. Police say their Violence Suppression Unit worked with Homeland Security and US Marshalls around Kern Street in Salinas.
Citizens in the area had complained of increased traffic, debris and prostitutes in their neighborhood. Salinas said the sting was done “in an effort to resolve the issues for the neighbors and help eliminate potential victims of human trafficking.
Those arrested were cited and released.
