A metal gate constructed by Live Oak residents in Santa Cruz County is coming under investigation by the Coastal Commission. The gate illegally blocks pedestrian and car access to Sunny Cove, a public beach near 17th Avenue. A Coastal Commission official said a homeowners association constructed the gate without a permit.
