10 year old swimmer, Clark Kent Apuada, of Salinas, recently bested a Mark Phelps record. Apuada won seven events at the Far West International Championship last weekend, including the 100-meter butterfly: with a time of 1:09:38, a time over a second faster than Phelps when he set a record in the event in 1995 when he was about the same age. Phelps now has 28 Olympic medals.
