A number of P.G. & E. customers in North Monterey County were without power for about 12 hours Saturday daytime, while others (in south Monterey county) lost their power Saturday night. The first outage began around 7:30 a.m., and the 2nd began about an hour after that one ended, when around 2,800 P.G. & E. customers in Chualar and Gonzales lost their power. Those customers appeared to have had their power restored by early this morning.
