A 32 year-old Salinas gang member has been sentenced to spend 8 years behind bars. 32 year-old Jorge “Cowboy” Lopez pleaded guilty to robbing, and conspiring to rob, 5 banks in the greater Monterey Bay area, between November of 2011 and march of the next year. Lopez was also ordered to pay nearly 53,000 dollars in restitution.
