Anyone looking to try to understand suicide can attend a free Wednesday event hosted by the National Alliance on Mental Illness and Monterey County Free Libraries. The public discussion at the Marina Beach Library Community Room will hear from people at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, a suicide survivor and the county’s Behavioral Health Department. The event starts at 6 p.m. is came about because of a number of high profile deaths across the nation.
