Several volunteer groups are reporting less trash on Central Coast beaches following the 4th of July holiday. Traditionally beaches are left dirty by Independence Day celebrations. This year smaller amounts of trash were picked up following the holiday, possibly because of the mid week holiday. More July beach cleanups are planned.
