Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office 4 of July Activity Report has been released. The Sheriff’s Office responded to 282 civilian calls, of which 130 were fireworks-related. Deputies wrote 82 citations, of which 28 were alcohol related, 33 were parking citations and 15 were fireworks violations. Deputies made 6 arrests, involving drugs, warrants and aggravated assault charges. Officers also confiscated hundreds of pounds of illegal fireworks.
