The Santa Cruz-based company Plantronics is the subject of a civil lawsuit from a former employee, who alleges the company laid him off because of his age and for taking medical leave. Plantronics officials contend Barone was laid off as a part of the company’s shift to a cloud-based infrastructure, which reduced the scope of Barone’s job. Plantronics officials plans to file a response to the suit on July 16.
