The general manager of a Watsonville-based packing – shipping company has been chosen as the 2018 Farmer Of The Year. Steve Bontadelli received the award because he has contributed beyond their normal farming duties to help the community. The 4th generation farmer was born and raised in Watsonville, and graduated from Fresno State in 1997. Bontadelli began working for family farming operations in 1985. He also currently serves as vice president of the brussels sprouts company Bontadelli, Incorporated.
