Prescribed Burns are scheduled to be done on the Former Fort Ord, between July 1st and December 31st. The 2 burns total 430 acres in 2 different areas. The first (which is inside the impact area in the southern portion of the munitions response area near Laguna Seca is already ready to go; while work still needs to be done to get the 2nd area (in the northern portion of the Fort Ord National Monument) ready.
