The future of plants in the Central Coast is at the heart of a UC Santa Cruz art exhibit opening at the university’s arboretum. The exhibit, by Newton Harrison and his late wife Helen Mayer Harrison, is titled “Future Garden” and simulates conditions for climate change to show how plants would grow in the environment. The opening reception is 4-6 p.m. on Saturday and is free to the public.
