A lawsuit has been filed to block the trump administration from demanding citizenship information on the upcoming 2020 Census. Monterey county has joined the states of New York and Colorado, as well as some counties in Texas, Ohio, and Rhode Island. All of the jurisdictions involved say that Census Bureau Research shows that the decision to demand citizenship information would “inevitably jeopardize the overall accuracy of the population count”.
