Surveillance video footage has shown the shoplifter, and the skateboard, used to hit a store employee on Sunday. The shoplifter reportedly hit the outdoor world employee in the face with the skateboard, when the employee asked the shoplifter to return the merchandise. Anyone with information about the 6:50 p.m. incident on River Street is encouraged to contact the Santa Cruz Police Department.
