Salinas police thwarted the burglary of a construction company Sunday night. At about 8:30 p.m. police responded to an alarm at Seatec Underground Utilities on the 400 block of Airport Boulevard. Officers observed a truck with stolen equipment in the bed. 34-year-old Agustin Castillo, 48-year-old Arturo Rodriguez and 36-year-old Lilo Cortez were in possession of eight earth compactors valued at 24 thousand dollars. The men were booked into Monterey County Jail on Burglary and outstanding warrants.
