A Special Hearing is slated to be held in Sand City Thursday night, regarding a mixed-use development planned for a nearly 11-acre area just east of Highway 1. The project would include 400 residential units, some retail shops, and the city’s first hotel. Right now, Sand City has the smallest population of any Monterey Peninsula city. Thursday’s special hearing is scheduled to take place in city council chambers on Pendergrass Way…beginning at 7 p.m.
