A MAN, WHO HAS BEEN KNOWN AS A LOCAL AG INDUSTRY ICON, AND AN AGRI-BUSINESS VISIONARY, HAS DIED. 61 YEAR-OLD RICK ANTLE HELPED CO-FOUND SPRECKELS-BASED TANIMURA AND ANTLE PRODUCE COMPANY IN 1982. ANTLE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE 2017 INTRODUCTION OF THE COMPANY’S STOCK OWNERSHIP PLAN (ALLOWING EVERYONE EMPLOYED BY T & A (FROM FARMWORKER TO MANAGEMENT) THE OPPORTUNITY TO BUY INTO THE OWNERSHIP OF THE COMPANY. UNDER HIS LEADERSHIP, THE COMPANY ALSO BUILT SPRECKELS CROSSING, AN 800-PERSON FARMWORKER HOUSING COMPLEX ON T & A PROPERTY. IT HAS SINCE BECOME A BLUEPRINT FOR OTHER FARMWORKER HOUSING PROJECTS.
ANTLE WAS ALSO PROUD OF THE COMPANY’S EMPLOYEE RETENTION….WITH MORE THAN 15-HUNDRED EMPLOYEES WITH T&A FOR 10 YEARS, AND MORE THAN 400 PEOPLE WITH THE COMPANY FOR 20 YEARS.
A CELEBRATION OF LIFE CEREMONY IS SCHEDULED TO BEGIN FOR RICK ANTLE AT 2 P.M. FRIDAY APRIL 27TH, AT THE TANIMURA AND ANTLE HEADQUARTERS IN SPRECKELS.
