The Salinas Police Department is combining forces with the city’s library and community services in a push for Salinas to join the Neighborhood Watch Program. There are over a dozen active groups in the city but Salinas Police Department Sergeant Kendall Gray hopes the number grows quickly with the new partnership. The Neighborhood Watch Program was absent from Salinas due to limited budget and staffing, however it was brought back in 2016.
