A Salinas man survived a 5 car crash that left 2 people dead near Paso Robles. The accident took place shortly before 6 a.m. at the intersection of Highways 46 and 41 when a 60 year old female Paso Robles resident drifted into oncoming traffic colliding with the Salinas driver and into a van driven by a 45 year old man from Tulare who was pronounced dead after the accident. The site is the scene of frequent fatal accidents and is where film star James Dean was killed.
