(09:00) A judge granted two former forklift drivers with Goodwill Central Coast reinstatement and back pay, after they were fired in 2015. A National Labor Relations Board judge ruled Martin Barrera and Jesus Fernandez, of Watsonville, were unlawfully fired from the non profit, after they reported to their manager that another manger harassed and threatened them. Goodwill Central Coast, which operates out of Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Luis Obispo counties, was ordered to pay a total of $90,961. Barrera will receive back pay of over $53,000 and Fernandez will receive back pay of over $37,000. The two have been reinstated and are currently working at the Goodwill warehouse, in Salinas.
