(09:30) The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office reported that human skeletal remains were found in a wooded area north of 4343 Soquel Drive and West of Soquel High School on February 2. The decomposed body appeared to have been there for at least three months. The Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying the man. After an examination of the body, the Sheriff’s Office believes the person was a white male over 50 years old. The man had very distinctive long red wavy hair that was kept in a ponytail and was missing all of his teeth prior to his death. The man was also wearing a 1999 Hollister, California 7th Annual Poker Run shirt. The back of the shirt depicted a company called South County Motorcycles, which is located in Gilroy.
