(07:00) Scotts Valley – The Santa Cruz Police Department is searching for a man who attempted to force his way into a house last week. The incident took place around 4 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, near El Rancho Drive, in Scotts Valley. The 40 year-old female victim reported that a man came to her front door and wanted to talk about “The Good Book.” When the victim declined, the man tried to force himself into her home. The suspect fled on foot. The suspect is described as a white man, clean shaven, medium to heavy build, and was carrying a book. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Santa Cruz Police Department.
