(07:00) Watsonville – The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a home invasion robbery that took place on Wednesday in Wastonville. Deputies reported the robbery occurred just after 6 p.m. on the 200 block of Hames Road. A 92 year old woman was home alone when 3 Hispanic men began knocking on her door. When the victim opened the door she was forced to the ground while the suspects demanded jewelry. The victim believed a total of 5 suspects entered her home and 1 was armed with a handgun. The suspects stole several items and fled the residence. The victim sustained minor injuries. 3 of the suspects were described as Hispanic men, 18-20 years old, wearing hooded clothing. Anyone with any information in regards to this case is encouraged to contact authorities.
