(10:30) The University of California president’s office is being investigated after 2 executives allegedly wrote emails directing campuses to alter their answers in a confidential state auditor’s survey. At UC Santa Cruz, survey responders initially rated technology help from the president’s office as “poor.” That became “good” after UC President Janet Napolitano’s office intervened. The campus also changed ratings for three services previously judged “fair” to “good.” The UC regents have hired a former state Supreme Court Justice to conduct an independent investigation into alleged tampering, the results are pending.
