(10:20) Santa Cruz – Concerns about parking in Pleasure Point have increased with the upcoming development of “The Lumberyard,” a three-story complex of retail stores and condos. Some 250 people signed petitions about raising concerns over traffic in the residential avenues, which are narrow and have no sidewalks. Current plans call for the constructions of 58 parking spots which locals believe will be inadequate and will lead to customers taking spots in front of homes. Residents will have that opportunity to voice their concerns about the commercial development from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday at Live Oak Elementary School, 1916 Capitola Road.
