(06:45) Soledad – A man was arrested after an attempted carjacking and robbery in Soledad last night. The incident took place just after 6 p.m. at the Metro PCS Store on H De La Rosa Sr. Drive. Authorities reported that 28-year-old Antonio Vargas Junior, walked into the store and demand money from the clerk. Vargas Junior also tried stealing a car nearby with a woman and her child inside. Vargas Junior was later caught at a nearby shopping Center by a security guard. This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Soledad Police Department.
