Watsonville police arrested to people following a traffic stop Thursday night. Shortly after 11 p.m. a patrol unit made a traffic stop for vehicle code violations. Officers determined the occupants, Gabriel Penuelas and Salvador Aguilera, both had outstanding warrants. A search of the vehicle and Penulas’ residence uncovered loaded firearms and more than two pounds of methamphetamine. The suspects were booked into Santa Cruz County jail for possession and transportation of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a loaded firearm, and the outstanding warrants.
