A colony of feral cats has been removed from a rural Boulder Creek property. Yesterday (Thursday) Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter personnel working with local nonprofit, Heading Home Animal Rescue began trapping the estimated 100 felines in the colony. The cats be examined, vaccinated, spay or neutered and given a microchip ID. The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter is heavily populated this time of year.
